ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will take the nation into confidence about the implementation of the 100-day programme and announce the strategy for the future.

The announcement is expected after he returns from Malaysia. The PM will leave for the Malaysia visit on November 20. According to sources, he would present a comparative analysis of his government and the former two governments.

He would also inform about the steps taken to bring the country out of the financial difficulties and share progress on the agenda of reforms. Sources said the prime minister would speak about making bureaucracy to effectively serve people.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) had unveiled a 100-day plan before the general elections wherein it pledged to transform governance standards, strengthen the federation, revitalise the economy, revolutionise social services, ensure national security and overhaul the agricultural sector among other goals.  Prime Minister Imran Khan had pledged to build a ‘Naya Pakistan’ when his party comes into power.

Earlier this week, Foreign Office Spokesperson Dr Muhammad Faisal confirmed that Prime Minister Imran Khan would be paying an official two-day state visit to Malaysia on November 20.

PM Imran would be accompanied by a high-level delegation on the visit which would be the first state visit by any foreign leader since Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad assumed Malaysia’s top office in May.

The visit also will also mark the premier’s first bilateral visit to Malaysia. The two prime ministers will conduct one-on-one talks with one another, followed by delegation-level talks.
