CM Punjab inaugurates transportation, health projects
Says huge funds are allocated for water projects

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said health, education and transportation projects in Barthi, his native town, would facilitate the people of remote areas at large.
The chief minister expressed these views at the inauguration ceremony of DG Khan Urban Bus service and a mobile water testing units in his native town on Saturday. “The Green Bus service is being started to provide comfortable and affordable transport facilities to the people of this region,” Buzdar said. He also announced an amount of Rs500 million for the construction of Taunsa Moosa road. The chief minister announced that Koh-e-Suleiman would be made a revenue tehsil. He also inaugurated Barthi tehsil headquarters hospital of 60 beds, Rescue 1122 centre Barthi, and 46-kilometre long road from Sartokh to Thaikar and 23 kilometres road from Khaddar Buzdar to Banglon. The CM announced that Barthi bridge would be constructed on Nala Sanghar from Zeen to Barthi. He announced provision of four mobile veterinary vans and inaugurated mobile veterinary clinic in the area.

He assured the people of his native town that the days of deprivation would end soon with the health, education and other civic projects. After taking the oath as Punjab chief minister , this is Buzdar’s maiden three-day visit (November 16 to 18) to his native village Barthi and Taunsa where he met his family, friends and voters.
The chief minister apologised to the people of the city for the delayed visit. He told them he had to stay in Lahore for work but now he would visit Dera Ghazi Khan every month. Buzdar said he would supervise all the development works personally.
People of Barthi welcomed the chief minister with special tribal dance with swords and drum beats.
While addressing the procession on Saturday in Barthi, he said all possible arrangements were being made for the provision of water to the people in the area. “All the non-functional water supply schemes will be made functional within one year. The Punjab government will allocate a budget of Rs100 million for the water supply projects,” he pledged.
“I congratulate the people of Barthi on the availability of electricity after 71 years, said CM.

He said border military force would be strengthened for the elimination of crimes. Five new posts of Border Military Force were being set up in this regard, he added. He also announced that 533 vacant posts of border military police would be filled with suitable candidates. “Resources will be provided for the police training school. I believe 50% problems are eliminated if the police department is working efficiently,” he remarked.
He said loans would be provided to the farmers of Barthi for the development of agriculture sector.
The CM also announced funds for the beautification of Manical Canal and plantation in the district. “For the improved connectivity with Balochistan, Steel Burj project will be completed this year.” He announced the opening of land record centres in Kot Chatta, Wahwa, Taunsa and tribal areas. Another NADRA office and passport office would also be set up to facilitate the masses, he added.
