Claim lives of many in Pakistan
TURBAT: Expired medicines causes more harm than good to human health. But dishonest pharmacists in Turbat are selling expired medicines unchecked.
Over the years there have been a significant number of deaths due to the consumption of expired medicines, not just in Turbat but in the entire country. There have been instances where not just pharmacists but even doctors are selling expired medicines to their patients. There is no proper monitoring system to check what medicines are being sold or prescribed.
I urge the authorities concerned to take stringent actions against those who are found selling expired medicines. The authorities should set up provincial committees to keep a check on what medicines are being sold at medical stores.
