BRUSSELS: An exhibition of photographs from the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) concluded at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

The week-long exhibition arranged by Kashmir Council EU, was hosted by member European Parliament Wajid Khan and marked the first time an exhibition on Kashmir was held there in continuity of “Kashmir EU Week” in Brussels.

Photographs of famous French photographer Cédric Gerbehaye were displayed.

A number of the Europeans including members of parliament including Theresa Griffin, Alex Mayer, Elmar Broek, John Howarth, Arendt Kohn, Richard Corbet, Ana Gomes, Marie Arena, Jean Lambert, Sajjad Karim, Wajid Khan, Nosheena Mobarak, Javi Lopez and Elena Valenciano visited the exhibition.

The large influx of visitors showed their interest in knowing about the miseries of the occupied valley with photographs detailing the hardships faced by those living there.

At the conclusion of the exhibition, Chairman Kashmir Council EU Ali Raza Syed said, “display of these images from IOK will help in understanding miseries of the people, who are suffering from Indian brutalities since last seven decades”.
