Health minister says special formed to address health issues in the province

Provincial Health Minister Naseebullah Marri has expressed anger over lack of health facilities in District Headquarter (DHQ) Hospital of Sibi.
In a surprise visit to the hospital on Thursday, the minister said the provincial government would not tolerate negligence in the health sector.
Lamenting on the plight of people, Marri said “unfortunately DHQ Sibi has turned into a house of disease”.
The minister criticised the previous government for “not providing much attention” to local hospitals in the province. He said corrupt practices ruined the health department.

“We don’t need frivolous staff in health department who are not sincere with their jobs,” Marri said vowing instead of tall claims the government would show performance in the department.
Divisional Director Health Sibi Dr Fazalur Rehman Bugti, Dr Muammad Akbar Solangi, MS DHQ Sibi Dr Ghulam Sarfar Hashmi and health officials were present during the visit.
He asked the staff in such kind of environment how people can get appropriate treatment.
“On directions of CM, the provincial government has been following zero-tolerance policy in health department,” Marri said, adding “special plan has been formulated to make sure health facilities in all DHQ Hospitals across Balochistan”.
Replying to a query regarding lack of doctors in government-run hospitals, he said more than 1,500 doctors would be appointed on temporary basis to fill the need of doctors.
During the visit, Mari was briefed over the facilities and lack of resources in the only hospital in Sibi and its adjacent areas.
