powayman | 6 years ago | Reply Surely we have bigger fish to fry that making meaningless appeals for the release of an extremist who likely hates Pakistan a much as the USA? We provided her $2 million to hire the best attorneys - she never said thanks and never followed the advice of her attorneys. She was found guilty in fair trial and she received a harsh sentence which most thought would be reduced upon appeal ... but once again she didn't follow her legal advice and refused to file an appeal. . She resides in a US Federal Prison Hospital because she is mentally unstable. She has air conditioning, good food, private cell, health care, TV, Internet, etc. You have to be PM in to get that kind of treatment in Pakistan prison. She is not in Guantanamo so US options on her release are very limited - were talking Presidential Pardon or something equally remote. Talking to US State Dept and making Senate resolutions is a complete waste of time. . We should have no sympathy for this lady and the Senate resolution only sends a message that we still pander to extremist.
