PESHAWAR: Afghan and Pakistani Pashtun literati are promoting peace and dialogue between the two countries, said Afghan Ambassador Omer Zakhiwal.

He was speaking at award ceremony organised by University of Peshawar Pashto Academy and Nangarhar University at Pashtun Museum.

The 13 recipients of Ghazi Mir Bacha Khan Gold Medal Award and self-written pass from Afghan President Ashraf Ghani include Hamesh Khalil, Tahir Afridi, Prof Abaseen Yousafzai, Noorul Bashr Naveed, Darwesh Durrani, Said Kher Muhmmad Arif, Shamim Shahid, Sufaid Shah Hamdard, Haroon Bacha, Alamzeb Khan, Arbab Mujeebur Rahamn Khalil, Syeda Hasina Gul and Dr Salma Shaheen.
