Bollywood actor Alok Nath, who has been accused of sexually harassing writer-producer Vinta Nanda 19 years ago, has consequently been expelled by the Cine And Television Artistes Association (CINTAA), reported Economic Times.

"In view of the various allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct against Nath, after due diligence and consideration, the Executive Committee of CINTAA has decided to expel him from the Association," they wrote on Twitter.

As #MeToo gained momentum within India recently, with women coming out with their experiences, Nanda also shared her account of being harassed by Nath during the production of TV show Tara.
