LAHORE:
Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Almas Hyder has stressed that the role of research institutions is crucial for creating a vibrant business ecosystem, therefore, they ought to work vigorously for Pakistan’s development. He expressed these views while talking to Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) Chairman Dr Shahzad Alam at the chamber premises. The LCCI president pointed out that the PCSIR and various other institutes established in the 1950s played a proactive role in the development of the country. However, their role shrank with the passage of time and posed challenges for the country. Hyder expressed optimism that the PCSIR chairman would exploit his rich experience for a mega positive change in the institution. “The LCCI is ready to support the PCSIR in this regard,” he said.
