Former deputy mayor, two others killed over a dispute in Peshawar

Bodies have been sent for postmortem, according to police officials

PESHAWAR: A former deputy mayor of Peshawar's Nothia union council Sher Ali was killed along with two others on Monday in an exchange of fire between two groups over a minor dispute.

According to police officials in Nothia, the bodies have been shifted to a hospital for medicolegal formalities.

The dispute escalated between the former mayor and his relatives last night over a minor argument.

A passerby was also injured during the firing and has been shifted to the Lady Reading Hospital.

A first information report of the matter has not been registered yet.

Man, minor girl shot dead in Peshawar over 'illicit relationship'

In October, a married couple was gunned down when an exchange of fire took place between relatives over loud music allegedly being played during a wedding on the outskirts of Peshawar.

The victims were identified as Saqib and Komal, who were both residents of the Hazar Khwani village.
