Two brothers gunned down over dispute in Bhakkar
Police said accused Bilal would allegedly tease Javed’s wife while she worked in the fields
BHAKKAR:
Two brothers were gunned down over a dispute in Bhakkar on Sunday.
Police said that Javed Iqbal’s wife used to work in the fields where accused Bilal would allegedly tease her. When the woman complained about the matter to Javed, he asked Bilal to leave his wife alone. Both men had a heated argument over the issue.
On the day of the incident, accused Bilal and his accomplice barged into Javed’s house and opened fire on him and his brother Muzaffar Iqbal. As a result, both men were killed on the spot. The culprits fled the scene after the incident.
Police said that Javed was a father of four children, while Muzaffar was married and had three children.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case against the culprits while efforts are under way to arrest them.
Taking notice of the killings, Bhakkar DPO Irfan Tariq sought details of the tragic incident. He also instructed police officials to make efforts to nab the accused as soon as possible.
Earlier, a man shot and killed his brothers over a property dispute in Lahore’s Mughalpura area.
Police said the accused Basharat and his brothers were involved in a property dispute. During the discussion, they exchanged harsh words with each other. Basharat was infuriated and shot and killed Asif and Rashid.
