QUETTA: Two Pakistani citizens were killed and four others injured on Sunday when Iranian security forces opened fire on a van in Prom area of Panjgur district in Balochistan.

Iranian forces claimed that the targeted people were trying to cross the border illegally.

The deceased were identified as Abdullah from Kech district of Balochistan and Nawaz from Mohmand district in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Iran asks Pakistan to help secure border

According to the Levies, there were seven people in the van, including the driver, and they did not possess valid travel documents.

The Iranian forces fired at them after cautioning them repeatedly. The bodies and injured were shifted to hospital.
