LAHORE: Thieves locked down the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Accountability Commission for five years to hide their massive corruption and are now doing everything to lock down the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) for the same reasons, the PML-N spokesperson claims.

“Imran Khan [prime minister] has never been held accountable. He has been released in cases in which he confessed to his crime, which is why he has become a repeat offender and wants to hold PAC hostage,” said Marriyum Aurangzeb in a statement issued on Sunday.

The spokesperson advised Fawad Chaudhry (information minister) to get tutored by her before speaking on the operations and functions of PAC in order to avoid embarrassment.
“Fawad should clarify before every press conference whether he is speaking as the NAB spokesperson or information minister,” she said. “Despite being in power, Imran and his cronies are obsessed and possessed by the fear of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif.”
She said he should hold a Prime Ministerial Address to the nation to unveil corruption of billions of rupees in the Peshawar metro, Billion Tree Tsunami and proven corruption in the K-P Accountability Commission.
“Because of the fact that Fawad is just a political mercenary, and in his desperate attempt to please his paymaster, he has become more loyal,” said Marriyum. “The people of Pakistan have not forgotten Fawad’s conflicting stances with different parties; therefore, he needs to start every press conference by apologising to the people of Pakistan for his flip-flops.”
She said in anxiousness to prove his fealty, Fawad’s words don’t match the contradictions in his head and ends up being clumsy by not making any sense at all.

This, she said, “is understandable because Fawad has taken upon himself the impossible task of concealing the corruption and incompetence of the PTI cabinet”.
The spokesperson said that instead of levelling allegations against the opposition as a distraction, Fawad should learn to do his job properly by telling the people of Pakistan the performance of this inept government.

“The people want to know, when they will get those five million homes and 10 million jobs,” she demanded. “Fawad needs to tell the Pakistanis the truth about billions of rupees worth of property of Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan.”

It is pertinent to mention that PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has been vying for the post of PAC chairman, but the PTI government has sworn not to let him become its chief.
