LAHORE:

Supremacy of law, merit, transparency and justice for the common man are the government’s priorities, said Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.

He expressed these views while speaking to a delegation at the chief minister’s office.

Buzdar stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) has come into power during difficult circumstances. However, due to the Almighty’s grace, the country has been placed on the right path due to hard work, he maintained.

He added that difficult decisions have been taken to correct the economy and that these decisions will hopefully restore the economy soon; the 220 million citizens of Pakistan will receive the fruit of development and progress.

The people are confident in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and the policies of the new government. Khan is the only leader who can steer the country out of a crisis, he maintained.

The new government has made the people aware of their rights. We want to bring an improvement in the life of the common man. Everything will happen as per the aspirations of the people, he said.

Absolute attention is being paid in order to resolve the problems of the people. The government is working on an effective strategy to bring about real change in the province and the people are benefiting from the change, the chief minister said.

He added that provision of justice to the common man will be ensured. The people can only get justice if our institutions are strong. He said that we have to face challenges together and that temporary problems will be overcome with the people’s support.
