Sialkot Lynching: Victims’ family urges speedy trial

Victims' uncle criticised the investigation conducted by the joint investigation team.

LAHORE: The family of Mughees and Muneeb, two brothers who were lynched by a mob in Sialkot, has urged the chief justice of Pakistan as well as the Punjab chief minister to remove the hurdles in way of a speedy trial of the case. Addressing a press conference at the Lahore Press Club on Tuesday, Muhammad Sajjad, the father of the boys, Khawaja Amjad (uncle), Khawaja Muhammed Anwar (grandfather) and Dr Shakeel Thakar advocate (counsel) informed the media of the proceedings of the case before the Anti-Terrorism Court Gujranwala. Khawaja Amjad criticised the investigation conducted by the joint investigation team, alleging that the police has adopted a bias towards the accused policemen in this case.
