Crackdown: IG Islamabad to go after land mafia

IG Islamabad advised the SSP Operations to initiate an open trial in Koral Station at 3pm on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: Inspector General Police (IG) Islamabad Mohammad Amir Zulfiqar Khan has ordered to withdraw lists of land grabbers to start off a grand crackdown against them. IG Islamabad advised SSP Operations, after receiving several complaints on the matter, to initiate trials on land grabbing in rural areas. A high level meeting was called at Central Police Office Islamabad under the lead of IG Islamabad in which SSP Operations Waqar Uddin Syed, AIG Special Branch Mujahid Akbar were also present.

IG Islamabad advised the SSP Operations to initiate an open trial in Koral Station at 3pm on Wednesday to address land grabbing issues in rural areas.  IG advised him to bring the complainants to address their issues. IG Islamabad while issuing orders indicated that future operations will be planned and launched more efficiently and the aim will be to clean sweep land mafia specifically in Islamabad and especially in the rural areas.
