Iqbal Day: Allama gave roadmap to autonomy

PESHAWAR: While some hold his literary works his greatest contribution, one professor believes that Allama Mohammad Iqbal’s 1930 address in Ahmedabad where he outlined a roadmap for the autonomy and ultimate freedom of Indian Muslims as his greatest contribution. This was stated by Prof Dr Fakhrul Islam while delivering his keynote at an event to commemorate Allama Iqbal’s 141st birthday at the Pakistan Study Centre of the University of Peshawar on Friday. Prof Islam further highlighted various aspects of Allama Iqbal’s personality especially his political and philosophical role.
