PM Imran arrives in China on five-day official visit
Premier Imran met Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang and other authorities.
He was accompanied by Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umar, Advisor for trade Abdul Razzaq Dawood and Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal on the visit.
PM Imran travelled for the neighbouring country in the wake of nationwide protests by religio-political parties, spearheaded by the Tehreek-e-Labbaik (TLP) following the acquittal of Aasia Bibi by the Supreme Court, who was sentenced to death by the Lahore High Court for blasphemy back in 2010.
The three-day protests saw rioting with damages to public and private property.
The protests finally ended on November 2, with the government caving in to TLP demands to take steps to add Aasia's name to the Exit Control List (ECL).
