Women among four killed in separate incidents

QUETTA: At least four people, including a woman, were killed and seven injured in various incidents in the province on Monday.

According to the police, a girl committed suicide consuming poisonous syrup due to domestic issues in Quetta’s Killi Ismail area.

The police and rescue workers rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Civil Hospital where doctors confirmed her death due to the intake of poisonous syrup. The police lodged an FIR of the incident.

Separately, the body of a man was found from Sakran area of Hub. The body, bearing bullet wounds, was shifted to the District Headquarter Hospital for medico-legal formalities and identification. The police confirmed that unknown armed persons killed the man and dumped the body in an isolate area.

In another case, another decomposed body was found from Killi Faizo area of Pishin, identified as of Alamgir, a resident of Mezai Adda.

According to the police, unknown persons killed Alamgir and dumped his body in the mountainous area, adding that an FIR of the case was lodged and investigations are underway.

And in Quetta’s Hazara Town, a man named Shabir Ahmed was injured when gunmen opened fire at him. The police and rescue workers rushed to the spot and shifted Shabir’s body to BMC Hospital.

“Initial investigation suggests that the incident occurred due to personal enmity,” said a police official.

In Pishin, a coal mine worker named Abdul Rasheed was killed in a mudslide. Rescue workers retrieved the body and shifted it to Afghanistan for burial.
