Govt continues crackdown on ‘miscreants’
Speaking at a dinner, the JI senator said rulers travel in their armoured vehicles and remain least concerned about the common man who is facing the hardships of poverty, inflation and unemployment.
“Chaos and fear have brought the nation under siege,” said the JI chief, adding the only solution to the country’s problems is implementation of Islamic system as Allah has blessed Pakistan with a wealth of resources and hardworking people.
He lamented that although our countrymen are known for their hard work overseas, our country suffers from hunger, poverty and unemployment because we have deviated from Islamic values. “The responsibility of our miserable economy lies on those who ruthlessly plundered the national exchequer and stashed wealth in foreign banks.”
“The current government claims we only have funds for the next two months as the national kitty is empty,” he said, adding the current rulers have said the country can’t be run without donations and bailout packages, referring to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent trips to Saudi Arabia and China.
Haq wondered why it’s only Pakistan which time and again finds itself in such desperate situations, “the nation wonders if the entire world is running on donations,” he jibed, claiming the basic reason for Pakistan’s deteriorating situation is its disloyal rulers.

“They come into power with votes of the people but abandon them for the next five years as soon as they ascend to the throne,” said the JI chief. According to him, rulers have forgotten that the purpose of Pakistan’s creation was to be free but they have made us hold a begging bowl before the IMF.
Suggesting a financial overhaul, Haq said that it’s time the government abolished the interest system and adopted an Islamic economic system. “People evade tax because they do not trust rulers and governments have failed to provide basic needs of life,” he said, claiming if governments would spend money on welfare, everyone will pay their taxes.
Secretary JI Liaquat Baloch, Ameer Central Punjab Amirul Azeem and others were also present at the occasion.
