High school fees

On the one hand, where a private school provides good education, but on the other it has become a profit making entity

KARACHI: There are many schools that provide education in good environment with best teaching services. A lot of private schools are working hard to make a child’s future and hence parents cooperate with these schools to ensure that their child is provided with the best.

But it is pertinent to note here that only children hailing from the upper class or an upper middle class background are able to avail such an education. Children belonging to the low-income class cannot afford tuition fees of these schools.

On the one hand, where a private school provides good education, but on the other it has become a profit making entity.

The only other option for children hailing from low-income groups are government schools. But these are ill-equipped to provide a good education. The environment of government schools is not conducive to good education. There facilities are highly inadequate.

In view of this, the government should ensure that government schools are as good as private ones. Private schools should be asked to reduce their fees so that everyone, irrespective of their families income, can gain knowledge.
