Condolences pour in for AJK’s renowned politician

ISLAMABAD: Renowned politician from Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and member of AJK Legislative Assembly Sardar Khalid Ibrahim Khan passed away at a hospital in Islamabad on Sunday morning. Khan suffered brain haemorrhage on Saturday and was admitted to the hospital.

Sardar Khalid Ibrahim was born in Rawalakot, AJK on November 5, 1948. He was the son of AJK’s founding president Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan. He was also the president of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Party (JKPP).

President AJK Sardar Masood Khan in his condolence message expressed grief over the sad demise of Sardar Khalid Ibrahim Khan. “We’ve lost a great leader, son of Ghazi-i-Millat of a great family,” he said.

The AJK president prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage to the bereaved family, the followers and friends to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also expressed deep grief over Sardar Khalid Ibrahim Khan’s demise. In a condolence message, the PPP chairman lauded the services of Sardar Khalid Ibrahim for the Kashmir cause and prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant courage and fortitude to the members of the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss.

President Women Wing of the PPP, MPA Faryal Talpur, also offered condolence on death of the prominent Kashmiri leader. She prayed to Almighty Allah for grant of eternal peace to the departed soul and courage to the family members to bear the loss with equanimity.
