Armeena Khan has been very vocal about her support towards refugees. Taking to Instagram earlier, the Janaan star announced she will be joining hands with the Human Relief Foundation to collect donations for Syrian refugees.

While she has been working closely with the said organisation for quite some time now, Armeena is currently in Jordan, helping war-torn individuals and sharing her experience on social media.

"So I’m finally here and distributing food packs to the neediest with the lovely ladies at Human Relief Foundation," Khan wrote in a heartfelt post. "It’s such an amazing feeling and I feel so happy! Thanks to you, I was able to do this. This is all because of your generous donations. Please keep donating so we can do more."

The Bin Roye starlet then revealed her inspiration for philanthropy came from her mother who always encouraged her to help others.

"I wanted to share something with you guys. My mother told me a long time ago that whatever you do in life, always maintain your humanity and don’t forget that God does not like arrogance, such were the lessons taught to me when I was little," Armeena stated.

"I started this Syrian journey with my mom's prayers. It is her dream that I am living right now and her wish that I am fulfilling. It is such a sweet thing and I wanted to share her messages. My heart swells when I read these," she wrote. "This is why I think mothers are so sacred and a lot of these Syrian kids have lost theirs. This is where you come in, you guys are amazing human beings, you’ve helped me put a smile on these children’s faces even if it is for a bit."

Stating she is overwhelmed by the amount of support she has received, Armeena mentioned, "I am amazed at the love, support and the donations pouring in, I am grateful from the heart. Thank you so much. I begin day two with my mother in my thoughts." In another post, she continued, "Want to see your donations at work? Have a look! You made this possible, this is all because of your generosity my lovely followers."

The starlet previously announced that she will be travelling to Jordan soon to hand deliver donations and zakaat to the refugees.

Armeena previously posted a viral picture of a little kid surrendering to the camera. “This broke my heart. I have been following this conflict for years and I finally, have had enough. It is time to do something. It is time to do what is in my hands,” she wrote, alongside the picture.

The 31-year-old actor went on to add, “So my dear ladies and gentleman, I have decided to go out there myself to hand deliver donations and zakaat to the war-torn refugees and children of Syria. This is the Holy month of Ramadan so start it off with a good deed.”

She requested everyone to not hold back in their charity. “Please donate generously as everything will be hand delivered by myself and the team. The link is in the bio. I hope that you will do your bit in giving these poor children some hope in their lives. Thank you so much, please spread this as much as possible.”

Last year, Armeena revealed her plans to team up with Human Relief Foundation to collect donations. True to her word, she then shared a video on Twitter, showing the foundation putting the donations to good use.

In the footage, a volunteer is seen briefing the public and sending Khan a shout out for her hard work. “This is Saira from Human Relief foundation and this is a very very special thank you to Armeena and all who are following the donations that you guys have given us,” she expressed. “This is your food distribution going on right about now. This is all the food we have and these are all the beneficiaries,” added Saira, guiding viewers through the video.

It is the responsibility of high profile people to set good examples in humanitarianism because the masses follow what these people do. Good job by Armeena Rana ; Even Waqar Zaka's efforts in Burma should be applauded
