CM hopes foreign investment would flow in Balochistan

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said the provincial government is planning to utilise the natural resources for the speedy development of the province.

“Balochistan is blessed with natural resources,” the chief minister said at a dinner hosted for the delegates of 26 countries who participated in the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) meeting in Gwadar.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and members of the provincial cabinet were also present at the dinner.

He said the three-day event was held to highlight the importance of Gwadar in the region. During the event, the delegates were briefed about the investment opportunities available in the province.

Kamal expressed the hope that soon foreign investment will come to the province.

During the event, the chief minister lauded Senate chairman’s effort for organising the event in Gwadar.

Meanwhile, addressing party workers in the port city, the chief minister said the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP)-led government was working for the social welfare of the people.

Kamal said he has directed the departments to speed up their work in Makran division and complete the projects on time. Moreover, the land issues in the division would be resolved with full responsibility, he added.

Kamal orders finalising legal formalities

Provincial Minister for Information and Higher Education Zahoor Buledi and BAP’s top leadership were present at the meeting.

Buledi said flawed development projects damaged the provincial economy but earnest efforts would be made to rectify it. He vowed that all basic facilities like education, health, and clean drinking water would be provided to the people of coastal areas.

The chief minister said the government would fulfill all promises made with the people of the province.
