Man accuses son's friends in his death

Death was earlier thought to be a suicide

HYDERABAD: Two friends of a young man, who was shot dead in Hyderabad on October 26, have been booked in the case for intentional murder. The case has been registered at Bhitai Nagar police station on the complaint of 18-year-old Haider Ali Shar’s father, Ayub Shar, who is a local leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI).

Haider was found shot dead in a real estate agency near Jeejal Maa Hospital in Qasimabad. The police, who had initially suggested that Haider took his own life, recovered a pistol, bullets and a liquor bottle from the crime scene. Bilal Abro, Junaid Khaskheli and two unknown persons have been booked in the case.

The complainant claimed that his son could not take his life and accused his friends for his death. According to the police, the slain person was in the company of his friends on the night of the incident. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail took notice of the incident and directed the police to investigate the matter.
