ISLAMABAD : An accountability court on Wednesday extended Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif's remand in the Ashiana Housing Scheme reference till Nov 6.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) produced the opposition leader of the National Assembly before Judge Mohammad Bashir's court amid tight security.

Shehbaz's remand extended till Nov 7 in Ashiana housing case

During the hearing, NAB investigation officer informed the court that Shehbaz was shifted on a three-day transit remand from Lahore to Islamabad. He requested Shehbaz's physical remand till Nov 6 so he could be produced in Lahore's accountability court.

"When will this session continue till?" asked the judge. To which Shehbaz responded saying, "It will continue till Friday. This court should grant the request otherwise I'll be taken to Lahore and then be brought to Islamabad again. I already have a severe back ache."

The judge ordered NAB to take Shehbaz to the National Assembly.
