PM Imran approves promotions to grade-22

Some deferred cases are expected to be presented for PM’s nod tomorrow

ISLAMABAD: The Central Selection Board meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday approved promotion of a number of civil servants from grade-21 to grade-22.

Those who were promoted to grade-22 include the Pakistan Administrative Service officers Sajid Yousfi, Dr Jamal Nasir, Tariq Najeeb Najmi, Dr Amir Ahmed, Nasim Nawaz and Ejaz Ahemd.

Others getting the promotion include Ilyas Khan from the Secretariat Group; AD Khwaja and Hussain Asghar from the Police Service of Pakistan; Zahid Khokar and Javed Ghani from the Pakistan Custom Service; and Nasir Ahmed Khan from the Postal Group.

Those promoted in the Foreign Service include Johar Saleem, Syed Hasan Raza, Ghulam Dastagir, Imtiaz Ahmed, Abdul Salik Khan, Moazzam Ahmed Khan and Amjad Ali.

According to sources, some promotion cases deferred on Monday are expected to be presented for the PM’s approval on Wednesday.

Those who attended the three-hour-long meeting included PM’s Adviser for Establishment Division Shahzad Arbab, Secretary to PM Azam Khan, Secretary Cabinet Division Fazal Abbas and Secretary Establishment Division Dr Ejaz Munir.
