RAWALPINDI: The Guangdong 21st Century Maritime Silk Road International Expo is a vital programme for the implementation of China’s Belt and Road Initiative and provides an opportunity for the business community eager to explore new markets and increase bilateral cooperation. These comments were made by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Malik Shahid Saleem while leading a 15-member delegation to Guangdong, China for exploring trade opportunities. He added that CPEC was crucial for the country’s economic stability and prosperity. Saleem suggested that the government should set up a working group to capitalise on maximum opportunities emerging from CPEC. A joint strategy could help Chinese and Pakistani companies cash in on the golden opportunity, he added.
