QUETTA:
Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering (PHE) Noor Muhammad Dummar has said that the Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP) is equipping women with domestic skills.

Speaking at a five-day training workshop conducted by the BRSP on Sunday, the minister said the BRSP had been working for social development for three decades.

More than 30 participants from across the province attended the workshop to spread awareness about the importance of cleanliness.

“The BRSP has been playing an active role in education and health sectors, besides equipping women with domestic skills to encourage them to run their business,” said Dummar.

The organisation, with the financial assistance of UNICEF, had also been providing clean drinking water for four union councils of Quetta and Naseerabad divisions, he added.

Speaking on the occasion, BRSP CEO Nadir Gul Barech said that awareness programmes over water and cleanliness were being regularly conducted. He said the organisation would hold workshops on education, health, and cleanliness in 40 government schools of the province.

Barech said these awareness campaigns would be expanded to remote parts of the province.
