The terrorists, the ISPR added, have been handed down sentences for attacking armed forces, law enforcement agencies (LEAs), killing civilians, and destructing educational institutions, Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) and Hotel Malam Jabba, Swat.
In total, the convicts were involved in the killing of 22 persons including three civilians, 19 security and police officials, and injuring 23 others. Arms and explosives were recovered from the possession of the terrorists, who were all tried by special military courts.
Eight of the convicts, besides death sentences, have been awarded imprisonment.
Details of each case are as follows:
Rehman Ali, Saifur Rehman, Rehmat Ali and Fazal Mabood: All the convicts were members of proscribed organisation, and were involved in the destruction of an educational institution and attacking security and police personnel, which resulted in the death of Naib Subedar Muhammad Hanif along with seven soldiers, a civilian, and injuries to 12 others. They were also found in possession of firearms and explosives. They were awarded death sentence.
Irshad Ahmed: A member of proscribed organisation, Ahmed was involved in attacking LEAs, which resulted in the death of Sepoy Raza Khan. He was also involved in the destruction of Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Hotel Malam Jabba, Swat.
Afreen: A member of proscribed organisation. He was involved in attacking armed forces personnel, which resulted in the death of five soldiers and injuries to seven others. He was also found in possession of firearms and explosives.

Ahmad Hussain: A member of proscribed organisation, Hussain was involved in attacking LEAs, which resulted in the death of Naib Subedar Hussain Faraz along with four officials and injuries to five others. He was also found in possession of firearms.
Bacha Rehman: A member of proscribed organisation, Rehman was involved in attacking armed forces personnel, which resulted in the death of Havaldar Muhammad Ilyas along with four soldiers and injuries to six others. He was also found in possession of firearms and explosives.
Muhammad Majeed Khan: A member of proscribed organisation, Khan was involved in the killing of innocent civilians and attacking armed forces personnel, which resulted in the death of Sepoy Asif Mehmood, and injuries to an officer along with two soldiers. He was also involved in the destruction of Government Primary School Zangi, Swat and Pakistan Telecommunication Limited Exchange Tower. He was found in possession of explosives.
Muhammad Aqil: A member of proscribed organisation was involved in attacking LEAs, which resulted in the death of Assistant Sub Inspector Noor Zaman along with four officials and injuries to five others. He was also found in possession of firearms.
Saifullah: A member of proscribed organisation, he was involved in the destruction of Government Primary School Langar (Swat), and in attacking the armed forces, which resulted in the death of Naik Ghulam Hassan, Sepoy Shoukat Ali, and injuries to two other soldiers. He was also found in possession of firearms and explosives.
Muhammad Sher Ali Khan: A member of proscribed organisation, Khan was involved in attacking the LEAs, which resulted in the death of Sepoy Raza Khan.
Muhammad Tariq: A member of proscribed organisation, Tariq was involved in attacking armed forces personnel, which resulted in the death of Naik Muhammad Suleman and injuries to another soldier. The convict confessed his offence before the Judicial Magistrate and the trial court. He was awarded the death sentence.
Ali Rehman: A member of proscribed organisation was involved in attacking armed forces personnel, which resulted in the death of Sepoy Shoukat Ali and injuries to another soldier.
All 14 convicts, the statement added, confessed in the trial courts and were handed death sentences.
