High fees

University of Sindh announces admissions for bachelor’s and master’s programmes for the year 2019

HYDERABAD: Till a few years ago, the University of Sindh was considered a varsity for all. But it is now beyond the reach of those from humble backgrounds. The university has recently announced admissions for bachelor’s and master’s programmes for the year 2019. The university’s administration has increased admission fees up to

Rs10,000 for the general disciplines this year which has disappointed poor students. Because of high admission fees, students particularly from under-privileged families cannot afford to study at the University of Sindh. Many students who were admitted to undergraduate programmes have left the university after completing their first academic year.

The authorities concerned should do the needful and facilitate students with limited resources to pursue higher education in their home towns. People should not be deprived of an education because of their hard economic circumstances.
