A police official was martyred after being shot by unknown attackers on Thursday morning in the Nawah Kali area of Quetta.
Mohammad Moosa was returning home from duty when he was attacked. The victim was posted at the Brewery road police station.
At least four students were injured in an incident of firing at a government school in Quetta on Wednesday.
Defying tradition and life threats for a cause
The armed men, riding a motorcycle, opened fire at the main entrance of Danish Kadah Public School in Shabu Kali area and fled, according to the police. The assailants used TT pistols.
A heavy contingent of law-enforcement agencies as well as rescue workers reached the spot and shifted the injured children to Civil Hospital Quetta. According to the doctors, the students had received bullet wounds on their legs and were reported to be in stable condition.

Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan strongly condemned the firing incident on the school and directed the security forces to arrest those involved. The CM also directed the health department to provide all treatment facilities to the injured children.
