Says France failed to make the case for its ban

GENEVA: The UN Human Rights Committee said on Tuesday that France’s ban on the Niqab was a violation of human rights.

France had failed to make the case for its ban and ordered it to review the legislation, the committee said in a statement.

“In particular, the Committee was not persuaded by France’s claim that a ban on face covering was necessary and proportionate from a security standpoint or for attaining the goal of “living together” in society,” it said.

As a Muslim, I strongly support the right to ban the veil

The committee, a panel of independent experts who oversee countries’ compliance with the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, said France had 180 days to report back to say what actions it had taken.

When a Muslim sister is suffering anywhere around the world we suffer the same pain as if she is my real blood sister. It’s a clear human rights violation and they are suffering and therefore I am suffering as a Muslim. There countries their rights doesn’t work in Islam and we don’t turn a blind eye, and we stand against all kind of oppressions whether this against Muslims or anyone, however, specially if it is against Muslims then It as if oppression Is happening on us. Also those sisters are equally french and have full right over their countries nationality so we all stand with their protest against this ban and all other kinds of anti Muslim drive which is making our Muslims suffer in the west.
