Two brothers axed to death in Faisalabad

Police say both the victims had divorced their wives and had married other women

Two brothers were axed to death under mysterious circumstances in Mureed Wala police station jurisdiction, Ilyasabad on Monday.

A police official told Express News that the bodies of two victims identified as 45-year-old Danish Ali and 50-year-old Talib Ali were found from a house in Khaddar Wala Basti. He added that during initial investigations, it was revealed that both the victims were axed to death. However, the motive behind the murder could not be ascertained as yet, he said.

The official revealed that both of the brothers had divorced their wives and had married other women. He said both Danish and Talib had sons from their first marriage. They were identified as 18-year-old Adnan and 22-year-old Ali Raza.

He pointed out that Danish’s son, Adnan, was living with his father but he had been missing since the incident. The police have registered a case against the unidentified culprits and have started investigations.

Earlier, a man was axed to death for marrying a divorced woman in Dera Ghazi Khan.

The police said that 26-year-old Sheru fell in love with Gulabo, who had been divorced by her ex-husband Azam. Later, the couple tied the knot. The woman’s former husband was not happy with the marriage and decided to take revenge. On the day of the incident, accused Azam and his accomplices barged into Sheru’s house and killed him.
