'Game of Thrones' unveils first footage from final season
Even the team has been asked to stay mum on the subject and not let out any spoilers. However, it seems like actor Sean Bean who played Ned Stark in the first season might have just revealed an exciting detail, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Ned was killed off in season one of Game of Thrones, but he stated that he recently filmed a reunion special that features the past and present cast members. The one-off episode was reportedly shot in Belfast earlier this year which also included late-night show host Conan O'Brien.
In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Sean said, "They decided to get all the characters together for a bit for this big show in Belfast and O’Brien kind of hosted the evening. It was the last episode, so we all got together."
He added that since the former has been busy with other work, it's often difficult to keep in touch. But Sean continued that whenever he meets them, it feels like seeing old friends and they pick up from where they left off.
Sean was not the only one spotted in Belfast. Jason Momoa who essays Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones was also seen on set raising speculations of his return.
Brace yourselves! 'Game of Thrones' prequel is coming
Currently, HBO has not confirmed the special yet, but the final six episode of the series finale will go on air in the first half of 2019.
