Indian employers under pressure to respond to surge in #MeToo allegations

He proceeded to 'argue' what would transpire if men started levelling accusations 'like' women had been doing. This will be a big insult. Will it be acceptable, the minister 'posited'.
The#MeToo movement gained momentum in India with Bollywood actor Tanushree Dutta accusing veteran Nana Patekar of harassment. Scores followed suit with their own stories.

Separately, editor-turned-politician MJ Akbar resigned on October 17 amidst sexual misconduct allegations by over 15 journalists. The BJP politician, arguably the most influential to be accused, tendered his resignation to 'fight' the allegations. He has moved court against his first accuser journalist Priya Ramani.
