Ministers pay homage to FC martyrs

QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Home and Tribal Affairs Saleem Khosa and Minister for Public Health Engineering (PHE) Noor Muhammad Dummar on Thursday paid homage to the martyrs of the Balochistan Frontier Corps (FC).

Addressing the Pakistan Army’s passing-out parade at the FC headquarters, the ministers said, “The FC and the Pakistan Army have restored peace in the province.”

They said the provincial government had been making all possible efforts to bring further stability and peace in the province.

“Sacrifices of armed forces have decreased incidents of violence in Balochistan,” the ministers added.

Home Minister Khosa lauded the role of Balochistan FC in maintaining law and order.

He congratulated the officers and the parents, saying, “The cadets have made the province proud.”

Regarding the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), he said, “CPEC has become an important element for the development of the province.”

He said the incumbent government had taken all imperative measures to address the challenges facing the province.

PHE Minister Dummar said, “Our cadets have proven that the Pakistan Army is an institution of the whole country.”

He said the cadets would protect and ensure the development of Balochistan.

Inspector General FC Balochistan Major General Nadeem Anjum and provincial minister distributed gifts and certificates among the passing-out recruits.

Political and tribal elders were in attendance.
