ISLAMABAD: Embassy of Sweden in Pakistan in collaboration with local NGO Shirkatgah launched a very interesting photo competition. The focus of the competition is on fathers and the importance of their presence in early years of the child. The purpose of this project is to showcase Pakistani fathers who share responsibilities of childcare with their spouse. Inspired by the Swedish fathers becoming role models, the Swedish Embassy is inviting Pakistani fathers to capture daily moments with their children. By participating in this competition, they will in a visual way contribute to promoting gender equality and encourage the sharing of responsibilities between spouses in Pakistani families including child care and household chores. Five selected Papas will win a session with a professional photographer and see their portraits go on public display alongside a Swedish Dads exhibition next month.
