'If Ms Cynthia can give Pakistan and its people a chance, then what stops us?'
LAHORE: This is in response to Cynthia D Ritchie’s article titled ‘Pakistan through a different lens’ published in this newspaper on Oct 14. Ms Cynthia, a foreigner, has taken it upon herself to educate people of this land the many goods Pakistan has to offer. It makes us happy to read that someone who has come from another country and having lived only 10 years in Pakistan can see the positive image of the country, whereas people who are born and brought up here only focus on the negatives — often moving out of the country for a better future.
If Ms Cynthia can give Pakistan and its people a chance what stops us — Pakistanis — from doing the same. No country became better overnight but only when its people believed in its potential did wonders happen. Let’s give Pakistan a chance.
