A three-year-old interview of filmmaker Sajid Khan has resurfaced amid harassment allegations in which he openly confesses to deceiving women in his life.

In what appeared to be candid chat, the Housefull director was commenting on when he planned on tying the knot. “I was a dog in my 20s. I have been in and out of so many relationships. I have broken a lot of hearts, I’ve lied, I’ve cheated I’ve deceived many women, as most of the guys do. I was on television I was getting successful. All the nice girls in my life, I’ve treated them very badly,” Sajid quipped.

Sajid added that eventually he focused on his filmmaking in his 30s. “When you start making films, you don’t really get attracted to women.”

The 47-year-old director also revealed how he was once very closed to agreeing to an arranged marriage. “I was very close to getting married once 15 or 16 years ago. Not to the girls I was in love with but in an arranged marriage,” Sajid commented.

“I met the parents [of the girl] as well. But the girl said something which scared me. When I met the girl, she just agreed to everything I was saying. And most of the time, that’s a perfect situation for guys. But not for me.”

The filmmaker went on to add that his ideal partner should have had a career and opinions. “I would rather be with someone who had a mind of her own. She should tell me if my scripts need work or are bad,” he said.

Last week, Sajid was accused of sexual harassment by multiple women. Starlets Bipasha Basu and Dia Mirza also weighed in on allegations and termed his statement as sexist, rude and uncomfortable.
