ISLAMABAD: A woman in Islamabad has accused a police inspector of blackmailing and raping her on several occasions with the law enforcement agency resorting to dilly-dallying in arresting the accused despite registration of a case.

Talking to Daily Express, the woman, B*, accused the former Station House Officer (SHO) Mehboob Ahmed and two of his accomplices of blackmailing and raping her.

Police, at first, refused to register the case but did so on the orders of the sessions court.

Meanwhile, Mehboob also approached the court and accused the woman, a resident of Pakistan Town, of framing her in a fake blackmailing video to extort Rs30,000 from him.

Subsequently, police included the officer's version in the case, while no arrest has been made so far in the case. The accused officer could not be reached for a comment.

Interestingly, Mehboob was appointed as SHO, Bhara Kahu just a day before the case surfaced.

In June, police allegedly sold a rape victim to her ‘distant relatives’ after she accused some police officials before a court of raping her.
