CJP hears passes orders on property cases

Cases were related to vacating occupied land, houses and shops

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar passed orders on several cases related to vacating occupied land, houses and shops from land grabbers in the province at the Supreme Court Lahore Registry.

Tahir Kulsoom appeared before the court and pleaded that her two brothers had taken over her property and were threatening her with dire consequences when she asked them to return it. The CJP ordered that her brothers be summoned before the court.

Rehmat Ali, a transgender person, contended that influential people had occupied her house and were not ready to vacate the premises. When the CJP asked her who had occupied her house, Rehmat replied that Bhango Fiaz Mustafa and others had occupied her house in Pakpattan area. Rehmat also told the court that she had an FIR registered against the people but her property had still not been returned. The CJP ordered DIG Legal Abdur Rab to submit a detailed report over the matter.

In another case, Samina Kosar pleaded that her matter has been pending in the civil court for the past 42 years. She told the court that her relatives have occupied her shop and are not willing to vacate it. The CJP directed the Lahore district and sessions judge to report to him within three months.
