No women voters at six Chakwal polling stations
ECP issues show cause notice to candidates, asks DRO to probe matter
Six polling stations in Chakwal's NA-65 did not receive a single female voter in Sunday's by-election, Express News reported.
Women did not exercise their right to vote at these polling stations for the National Assembly seat.
Taking this into account, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has issued a show cause notice to the candidates standing in the constituency.
Moreover, the District Returning Officer has been given directives to probe the matter.
The total number of voters in the constituency is 552,552 with registered males voters are 287,042 and females 265, 475.

The polling began at 8am and continued till 5pm. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) printed 9.5 million ballot papers for the by-elections in which 641 candidates are contesting.
The ECP has reminded the media that no unofficial and unverified results are to be aired before 6pm in accordance with the Lahore High Court (LHC) orders.
