Attack on police 28 rioters presented in court

The police arrested 47 people on charges of violence, sabotage, vandalism and arson attack against a police station and presented them in court.


Of those arrested, 28 were presented in the Anti-Terrorism Court, while 19 were presented in the court of Judicial Magistrate East Abdul Hafeez Mathelo.

The judicial magistrate allowed their release against a bail of Rs5,000. Meanwhile, the Anti-Terrorism Court ordered the physical remand till June 11 of Nawaz Khan, Khushal Khan and Rafiq Khan on charges of attacking a police station.

The accused men disrupted traffic in Korangi Industrial Area by blocking roads. They attacked the police when it tried to resume the traffic flow. On this, the police arrested 20 accused and locked them up in the Korangi Industrial Area police station. However, the accomplices of those arrested attacked the police station, and even tried to burn it down.

The police caught the attackers red-handed and arrested them on terrorism charges.
