Eight children have been killed while three others were seriously injured in Sukkur on Thursday when a house's wall caved in on them, Express News reported.

The incident took place in Saleh Put with area residents reaching the scene to help those trapped under the rubble.

Authorities say the wall collapsed as it was fragile to begin with.

The injured have been shifted to the hospital and their condition is said to be critical.

Six boys and two girls are among the children killed in the incident.

Earlier on September 16, four people were killed as a house’s roof collapsed in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Orakzai district on Sunday, Express News reported.

A couple along with their two children were killed in the incident. Miraculously, one of their child survived after sustaining serious injuries as her condition is said to be critical.

According to authorities, the roof caved in owing to heavy rainfall. One of the deceased children was four-year-old while the other just a two-month-old.
