No official accounts of DG ISI, army officers on social media: Maj Gen Ghafoor

Says the official accounts are of the spokesperson only i.e. DG ISPR

Spokesperson of the military's media wing on Wednesday made it clear that the officers of Pakistan Army don't own official accounts on any social media platform.

"Neither DG ISI nor any other officer of Pakistan Army maintains an official account on any social media platform," Director-General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.




"The official accounts are of spokesperson only i.e. DG ISPR," Maj Gen Ghafoor added. "Request treat all accounts such as the one attached here as fake."

FIA busts gang of swindlers impersonating army officers

In July, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) busted a gang involved in swindling millions of rupees by impersonating military officials or by luring people with hefty lotteries over phone calls in Punjab.

The gang was capable of even creating fake thumbprints by stealing the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) database.
