CM Balochistan promises development in all districts

Kamal assures journalists of resolution of their issue

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan has said the provincial government laid the foundation for a new era of development in the province.

Speaking to a delegation of journalists at Quetta Press Club on Monday, the CM lauded the role of media in highlighting the government’s weaknesses so that they could be timely addressed.

President Balochistan Union of Journalists Khalil Ahmed and President Quetta Press Club Razaur Rehman briefed the CM Balochistan about the problems faced by the journalist community.

The CM said the issues of the journalist community would be addressed on priority. He assured that the work for journalists housing society would be completed soon. The CM was accompanied by Information Minister Zahoor Buledi and Secretary Information Tayab Lehri. With regards to the performance of his government, the CM said that he believes in appropriate utilisation of resources to provide relief to the masses. He said that the government is taking all possible measures to provide people education, health and clean drinking water.


The CM said that he personally visited the Makran Division and Ziarat valley and chaired high-level meetings to review the problems faced by the people.  Jam Kamal added that his government aims to develop all the districts equally.

With regards to the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), he said, the previous PSDPs were
prepared without planning, which had caused problems for his government.  “We have been working on to prepare an adequate PSDP, which indeed would be in the province’s interest,” he added.

The CM said that the Chief Minister Inspection Team had been monitoring development projects to maintain impartiality.
