1. Carry your own pillow
If you're travelling to another city or country, chances are that you might be sleeping in someone else's bed or even on the couch for that matter. For most of us, sleeping on a new bed might not be comfortable. You might even get a sloppy pillow that will make your neck stiff overnight. To avoid yourself from tiring out even more, make sure you carry your own, height-adjustable pillow. 2. Invest in a high-quality mattress
If you're a sibling of the bride or groom, be prepared to do most of the work around the house. It will guarantee a good night's sleep and make you feel energised for yet another day of chores.
3. Enjoy the outdoors

Instead of staying at home all day, opt for outdoor activities. Have a good game of cricket or football with the bride and groom's team or plan some pool-side brunches. This will keep your bodily processes running as per usual and tire you enough for a restful sleep.
4. Watch what you eat and drink
Wedding season brings along a lot of samosas, pakoras and biryani with it. While soft drinks are a definite no-no, cold weather increases chai cravings. It's extremely tough to control the temptation but excessive consumption of such foods can cause digestion issues at night. Avoid munching on the guilty-goodies and opt for healthier options.
5. Follow basic sleep hygiene
Make sure your room is at an ideal temperature before you get in bed. Keep away from the laptop, TV and mobile phones as the screen lights can alter your sleeping habits. Make sure your hands and feet are warm and that your room is dark and quiet. This will help induce sleep and pave way for an ample amount of rest.
