In Faisalabad: Anti-measles campaign to kick off on Oct 15

Officials prepare ahead of vaccination drive

FAISALABAD: As many as 1,168,300 children between six months and seven years of age will be vaccinated against measles during the 13-day anti-measles campaign starting from October 15 in the district.

All necessary arrangements have been finalised to achieve the target.

This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Syed Ahmad Fawad while chairing a meeting in Faisalabad. Additional Deputy Commissioner General Mushtaq Hussain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (headquarters) Qaiser Rind, District Health Authority CEO Dr Mushtaq Sipra and other officers concerned were present.

The deputy commissioner directed officers to implement the micro-plan for saving children from the fatal disease. He warned officials that negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.

The DC directed officials of the health department to make this campaign successful. He urged parents to cooperate with the officials of the health department and allow the health teams to inoculate their children.
