Two women among four gunned down for 'honour' in Balochistan

QUETTA: Two women were among four people gunned down in the name of honour in different areas of Balochistan on Friday.

The incidents reportedly took place in Jhal Magsi and Jaffarabad districts.

Levies officials said that a man, identified as Samar, shot dead his sister, Nasima Bibi and her alleged paramour Wasim with the help of his accomplices in village Nandani Magsi. The suspect managed to escape from the scene after the killing.

The law enforcement agency handed over the bodies of the victims to the bereaved families.

Separately, a man, identified as Bilawal, killed his wife Padmi Bibi in goth (village) Nasir Ahmed Rind near Usta Muhammad, Jaffarabad.

In Rabi Canal area of the same district, armed men killed one person late at night. The deceased was identified as Fida Hussain Lehri. No arrest was reported in any of the four murder cases.

Earlier on Friday, a young man and a girl were gunned down in Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the name of ‘honour’. In the last 48 hours, four people were killed in similar cases in Spin Kanri village – the jurisdiction of Parmoli police station.
